FIVE DOCK RSL COMMUNITY CLUB LIMITED - 2024 ELECTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

NOMINATIONS

Nominations are invited on and from Monday 1 April 2024  for:

SEVEN (7) ORDINARY BOARD DIRECTORS

     Nominations must be in writing and comply with the Club’s Constitution/By-Laws and any relevant directions given by the Returning Officer.

No less than four (4) Directors at any one time shall be Service members who are financial members of the Five Dock R.S.L. Sub-Branch or Life members of the Club. The remaining three (3) members of the Board of Directors may be Associate members of the Club if so elected.

A member must have been a FULL member of the Club for three (3) continuous years immediately prior to their nomination. 

Candidates must satisfy the eligibility requirements set out in Rules 39 and 40 of the Club’s Constitution. A copy is available from the Club.

Candidates and nominators must be financial members of the Club Five Dock RSL as of Monday 1 April 2024. No eligible member shall nominate more candidates for any position than the number to be elected.

LODGEMENT OF NOMINATION FORMS

Completed Nomination Forms must be received by the Returning Officer, Michael Nevin of Election Solutions NSW, no later than 5.00pm, Thursday 2 May 2024.  A nomination cannot be withdrawn after this time and any defect must be rectified before this time.

If the election is contested a draw to determine the order of candidates’ names on the ballot paper will be conducted at the Club at 10.30am, on Friday 3 May 2024.

 

VOTING

If an election is necessary, voting will be conducted at the Club at the following times: 

Sunday 26 May 2024 to Wednesday 29 May 2024 – From 1.00pm to 7.00pm

PLEASE NOTE:  Members will need to show their current signed membership card to receive a ballot paper. 

The method of voting will be First Past the Post using crosses (X) or numbers.
