Supporting Those Impacted by Domestic Violence

At Club Five Dock RSL, we believe in creating a safer, more supportive community for everyone. For the past seven years, we have proudly partnered with Escabags, a charity that provides essential care bags to people escaping domestic and family violence.

These bags contain everyday necessities and personal items that can offer comfort, dignity and practical support during an incredibly difficult time. Bags are available free of charge through Club Five Dock RSL for those who need them, helping ensure support is accessible within our local community.

Our commitment extends beyond providing a collection point. Each year, Club Five Dock RSL staff and Board Directors volunteer their time to help pack Escabags, ensuring they are ready to reach those in need. We also accept donations year-round from members and the wider community to help support this important initiative.

More recently, Club Five Dock RSL became an official collection point for DV Safe Phone. Community members can donate their old mobile phones, which are refurbished and distributed to victim-survivors of domestic violence, providing a vital lifeline to emergency services, support networks and loved ones when they need it most.

Through these partnerships, we are proud to play a small but meaningful role in supporting individuals and families affected by domestic violence, while continuing our mission to make a positive difference in our community.
